River of Life MB Church is constantly striving to demonstrate and experience the love of Jesus Christ in clear and practical ways. The Bible teaches us that we were designed to love God and to love each other. It is our goal to have God's love grow within us and among us and so fulfill God's purpose for our lives.

As you can see from our name, our church belongs to the Canadian Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches. While our denomination is relatively new to Atlantic Canada (though River of Life has been here since 1988), we have been active in Western Canada and Ontario for many years.

The MBs are an evangelical anabaptist group with roots in Europe. Due to constant religous persecution MBs eventually migrated to Russia and later escaped to Canada and US (and South America) during the Russian Revolution.

Presently, though the largest concentration of MBs is in the Democratic Republic of Congo where after generations of war and killing, people are drawn to a message that is rooted in God's saving grace and a strong ethic of peace.
